ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENT FUND MANAGERS DIRECTIVE ( AIMFD ) STATUS - Anchorage Capital Investment Management Ltd. is exempt from the provisions of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive because it is the discretionary manager of the managed account of Amerro Global Investments LLC. Managed accounts are not deemed alternative investment funds by AIFMD because they are not collective investment schemes.  Art 3 of The Alternative Investment Fund Managers Regulations 2013 below “AIF” means a collective investment undertaking, including investment compartments of such an undertaking, which— (a) raises capital from a number of investors, with a view to investing it in accordance with a defined investment policy for the benefit of these investors; and (b) does not require authorisation pursuant to Article 5 of the UCITS directive.
